Scott Weir, ACT’s construction director, is delighted with his Boardman bike, which he bought through the Cycle to Work Scheme.
ACT signed up to the Cycle to Work Scheme to allow staff to make savings on the purchase of a bike and to encourage more cycling instead of car use.
The Cyclescheme is a government programme that enables employees to get bikes and accessories tax-free, saving on average about half the cost.

Scott rides his bike to work a few times each week.
Scott bought a Boardman mountain bike and uses it two to three times a week to cycle from home to work. Cycle commuting saves money in petrol and wear and tear on the car and also offers a fitness boost.
Many people who cycle to work say they arrive feeling fresher and ready to start their working day with a smile.
Scott is also a keen mountain biker in his spare time and has already enjoyed taking his prized bike to a range of different trails in Scotland.
