ACT sponsored athlete, the top Scottish swimmer Ross Murdoch, has a busy month ahead as he competes in two important races and then focuses on training for next year’s Commonwealth Games.

On Friday, Ross heads to Edinburgh for a weekend of racing in three events, the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke in the Scottish National Short Course Championships 2017. This competition is for preparation for the European Championships in Denmark.

He has one night at home after the Scottish champs before travelling to Copenhagen in Denmark. The European Short Course Championships 2017 take place from December 13 to 17. Ross will again compete in the 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke events.

Swimming champion Ross Murdoch is sponsored by ACT.

Ross returns home to Stirling for further pre-Christmas training. He said: “I will have a few days off over Christmas, which I am very much looking forward to after this month’s racing. I will be hosting my family at my home for Christmas for the first time.”

In late December, Ross goes to  Perth, Australia, where he will be training through the New Year and to later in the month with specific focus on the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 in April.

We wish Ross all the best with his forthcoming races and Games 2018 preparation.
