Craig Pringle is looking forward to helping ACT Construction (Europe) Ltd to win new business and develop existing clients as the company’s Business Development Manager.

Great industry experience

Craig’s career has spanned a range of companies within the refrigeration industry.

Between 2005 and 2010, he worked  for one of the UK’s biggest refrigeration companies, Capital Cooling, first on the service engineering side of the business and then moving into sales. Craig was involved in the importing of refrigeration cases into the UK from Europe and China.

In 2010, he was headhunted by a competitor company and took on a new role in sales for Cooling Solutions.

Craig was involved with the equipment sales and air conditioning on the cold room side of the business, as well as PPM maintenance contracts in convenience retail and hotel chains.

Craig says: “Cooling Solutions was a new business at the time and we quickly established into a market leader in Scotland. Year-on-year, our sales figures were up and my biggest achievement was growing several major accounts.”

After four years, Craig took a new new position with Vertex RAS LTD, a market leader in Scotland. He says: “I still worked in refrigeration, but delivering turnkey projects in the shop-fitting area of the company.

“In a very competitive market, we developed the business UK wide.”

Building business for ACT

Craig now joins ACT. He says: “I am looking forward to working with a new company.  I have managed to keep my refrigeration roots throughout my career and working with the ACT team I will aim to use all my experience and contacts to attract new business.

“My main focus is to engage with Scotland’s food and drink industry, as well as introducing myself to existing clients to see if there is any avenues we can explore.

“My strength over the years is opening doors and connecting with potential new business.”

As well as through face-to-face meetings, Craig is also very active on social media and he will be using his expertise to promote ACT and connect with new businesses,

“My goal,” he says “Is to increase the company’s turnover.”
