In light of COVID-19 lockdown, ACT Construction (Europe) Ltd has taken the difficult decision to suspend site operations.

The health and welfare of staff, and the wider community, must take priority.

Managing director Ken Godsman said: “Government guidelines state that construction sites can stay open provided workers abide by social distancing rules.

“I do not believe this is practical and I cannot have office staff working from home while asking other members of our team to face the risk of exposure externally.”

The company’s supply chain is also shutting down, which further compounds the issue of continued operations.
