ACT Construction (Europe) Ltd is delighted with a move to new premises. Previously, the company rented two units of 2000sqft space at Anniesland Business Park, but decided it was time to purchase a new facility.
ACT’s new office is at Balmore Industrial Estate, Glasgow, and is more than double the floor area, extending to 5000sqft.
Buying the new space allowed the company to have a blank canvas from which to design and develop an office with members of staff at the core. The renovation have taken place over the past year.
A larger space for office and amenities
As well as a large office space, the building includes a newly installed gym, canteen, two bathrooms and a shower-room. There is also a large conference room, which has been a huge benefit during the current climate of pandemic restrictions and has allowed ACT to continue to provide for clients. Further installations include a state-of-the-art technology, alarms and a CCTV security system.
Covid compliant
The larger office space means that ACT can be Covid compliant with a one-way system in place, desks placed more than two metres apart, a two-person limit in certain areas and every desk equipped with antibacterial wipes and hand sanitiser.
Any essential visitors are required to sign in, wear a mask and take their temperature before entering. In addition, the entire office is sanitised at the end of the day.
Ken Godsman, managing director of ACT, said: “While it wasn’t easy to move office premises during the Covid pandemic, it has been very worthwhile.
“The much larger space has allowed us to continue to operate according to the correct pandemic guidelines and we have been able to provide staff with more amenities, such as the gym, canteen and shower-room.
“We are very pleased with the new premises – and we hope to be able to welcome more visitors as pandemic restrictions allow.”
