ACT is sponsoring top Scottish swimmer Ross Murdoch.

Champion Scottish swimmer Ross Murdoch has been competing since the age of eight. His most famous performance to date was winning gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Aged 20 at the time, he beat Olympic silver medallist and fellow Scot Michael Jamieson in the 200m breaststroke final.

The following year, Ross, who is from Balloch and now lives in Stirling, won gold again as part of the GB squad in the mixed 4 x 100m medley relay at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships.

At the same championships, he took bronze in the individual 100m breaststroke event.

Ross, now 23, also qualified for the 100m breaststroke for the Great Britain team in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

He later won his first European title with a gold medal in the 200m breaststroke, a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke and a bronze in the 50m breaststroke.

Ross is now focusing on the Commonwealth Games 2018 in Australia and the European Championships, which take place in Glasgow also in 2018. His longer term goal is the next Olympics in Toyko.
